Risk assessment and registration

Important:

The risk assessment is only valid, if the appropriate safety measures are applied.

Group leaders must perform a risk assessment of projects involving genetically modified organisms or natural pathogenic organisms as outlined above and register them via the BSO with the Federal Coordination Center for Biotechnology at the Federal Office for the Environment (BAFU).

Projects of risk class 1 may be started as soon as its registration is submitted.

Projects of risk class 2 may be started as soon as its registration is accepted or within 45 days of submission, if no negative response is received. (Most likely one has to wait the 45 days.).

 

The Building at the Mattenstrasse 28 is not equipped for projects of risk class 3 or 4 !!!
