Sharps

Avoid sharps wherever possible.

Sharps are sharp objects, such as needles, razor blades, scalpels, knives, scissors, pasteur pipettes. Avoid these wherever possible. Discard sharps and broken glass in solid waste containers clearly labelled with "SHARPS".

Do not dispose in normal waste!!! Sharps are considered hazardous waste and have to be disposed of separately at considerable cost.

Do not re-cap syringes

If necessary, close with one hand only:
