Biosafety Level 2 requires the following additional measures:

Limited Access

BL-2 laboratories and storage equipment outside BL-2 laboratories (freezers, refrigerators, liquid nitrogen tanks, etc.) have to be labeled with "BIOHAZARD" or the biohazard symbol.

Access to BL-2 laboratories is restricted to the people listed on the doors.

Other persons are allowed to enter only when accompanied and instructed by an authorized person.

A cleaning plan defines access by cleaning personnel.
