Separate Lab Coats

Separate lab coats for BL-2 area are strictly obligatory and may not be brought outside the BL-2 area.

Measures to prevent and deal with contaminations

Biohazard material has to be placed into closed containers for transport within the building outside BL-2 laboratories. The waste is disposed in Autoclave (3rd floor) with the program 7 (Kill).

Materials to cope with spills and contaminations have to be available in sufficient quantities.

Spills and accidents have to be documented and reported to the security officer.

A short description of the project, of desinfectants to be used, and of specific actions to be taken in case of accident has to be posted visibly in BL-2 laboratories.
